Our Community
Pleasant Hill Cohousing, newly constructed in 2001, is a close-knit community, with 32 households of diverse ages and compositions. Neighbors all know each other, and our community layout and culture provide adults and children with rich opportunities for social interaction, while allowing a healthy balance between community and private/family time.
Residents enjoy the benefits of living in an old-fashioned community. Children play safely in a neighborhood full of familiar faces, and neighbors help each other in times of need. We enjoy shared dinners, social events, easily arranged child care exchanges, work parties, and impromptu chats with neighbors on patios and in common areas. Classes conducted by neighbors have included yoga and self-defense, crafts and pottery projects for the kids, etc.
The community was part of the Green Homes tour in 2005. Read article here.
